Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Provides information on large-scale health emergencies, such as: natural disasters, pandemics, deliberate attacks, environmental catastrophes, and other health threats, as well as on information on the use of health care.

Finding Genes in PubMed (National Center for Biotechnology Information - NCBI) Find literature about a gene of interest using PubMed and Gene database records.
GenBank sequence database is an open access, annotated collection of all publicly available nucleotide sequences and their protein translations. It is produced at National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) as part of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration. GenBank and its collaborators receive sequences produced in laboratories throughout the world from more than 100,000 distinct organisms. NCBI is part of the National Library of Medicine, a branch of the National Institutes of Health. The NCBI has had responsibility for making available the GenBank DNA sequence database since 1992.
