About the Collection

The Queens College Juvenile Collection has grown continuously since the college's founding in 1937 and is now home to over 25,000 picture books, early readers, award-winners, young adult novels, non-fiction books, and biographies that celebrate the diverse cultures and languages of New York. Primarily dedicated to supporting the professional development of educators within the School of Education, the collection also welcomes the entire college community. This collection is made possible through the generous support of the Debra Elkins and Leonard & Elaine Kaplan endowments.
