Introduction

Federal court cases begin in District Trial Courts. If there is an appeal they proceed through the Circuit Court of Appeals, and then on to the Supreme Court if the court agrees to hear the case. The Federal court system adheres to Current Rules of Practice and Procedure. The rules are reproduced at Cornell's Federal Rules of evidence and procedure. Below are the resources one can use to access the court cases at their various levels.
