According to Elizabeth O'Brien (2012), you only need three things to make a zine: "paper, something to write with, and access to a photocopier. Additional items are often quite helpful in improving the aesthetic appeal of a zine, including whiteout, scissors, glue sticks, black Sharpies, clippings, photos, drawings, and perhaps some willing friends to contribute additional articles or artwork. But it is possible to create and distribute a zine with the very barest essentials: you, your ideas. Give them away freely and someone, somewhere, will pay attention" (91).
