Family, Nutrition & Exercise Sciences (FNES) Guide

This guide introduces students to Family, Nutrition & Exercise Sciences resources in order to help them complete their research projects.

For Faculty

For Faculty who would like to link content to Blackboard, we recommend users access content via the library so that they can be prompted to log in when off-campus.

For example: If you want to link the ebook, Persuasion, you may use the below OneSearch permalink as shown in the below screenshot:

As an alternative, faculty can ask their students to add our proxy to content. Our proxy is http://queens.ezproxy.cuny.edu:2048/login?url=

If you would like to add a proxy to JSTOR, you would add the JSTOR URL: https://www.jstor.org to the QC base proxy provided above. For example, http://queens.ezproxy.cuny.edu:2048/login?url=https://www.jstor.org

Showing Streaming Videos during Class

Showing films from the Library collection via Zoom or another service is not recommended due to bandwidth issues. As a workaround, we recommend that you ask your students to mute themselves and access the film via the library at the same time from their own individual computers.

Should you need any assistance with this, please complete our Electronic Access Form.

If you would like to place an item on reserve or request the library to investigate an item (streaming video or ebook) for purchase, then kindly complete the E-Request Form.

Note: All streaming videos are searchable via OneSearch.
